I offer a free initial 20 minute consultation by phone or video to discuss your reasons for seeking counselling. You can ask any questions to determine if I am a a good fit for you. Once you decide to proceed, we will have an assessment session to gather more information about you, which can be conducted via phone, video or outdoors during a walk and talk session.

Therapy offers a safe place to share your thoughts and feelings without being judged. In our sessions, I will rephrase what I’ve heard and ask questions to better understand what matters most to you. This helps you feel heard, listened to and understood. It is when thoughts, feelings and patterns of behaviour are brought into awareness that clients can feel more empowered to affect change in their lives.

Online and assessment sessions cost £50. A walk and talk session, lasting 60 minutes, costs £60.

The length of therapy depends on your needs. Some issues can be resolved quickly, while others take more time. We will work together to find the right approach for you. For long-term therapy, we will regularly review our sessions, allowing you to reflect on what has been helpful and what changes we might consider.

I recommend meeting every week or every two weeks. Committing to attending regularly will help you get the most from your sessions. Generally clients start to notice shifts within a few months.

Change can take time, often needing multiple sessions to see progress. Therapy isn't always easy; there may be times you feel blocked or like you're moving backward. Clients often find that identifying unhelpful behaviours allows them to choose new ways of being. The therapist offers guidance, but it is the client that must make the change. During challenging times, it's common to revert to old habits. Learning to acknowledge these moments with kindness towards yourself can lead to real transformation.

If you need to cancel a session, please give at least 24 hours notice to avoid being charged the full fee.

You have the right to stop therapy at any time. It might be helpful to you if we discuss when you are ready to stop and plan for it accordingly, to discuss any feelings you have as well as talk about strategies to maintain your progress. Some people take periodic breaks, others use the therapist as one resource in their life and may return a couple of times a year as a way to maintain their gains. Feel free to discuss all of these options with me when and if you are ready.
